The Healing Hearts project aims to address the rise of hate speech and hate crimes across Europe by
focusing on their root causes: emotional trauma and psychological distress. Through a combination of
trauma-healing workshops, well-being practices, and community engagement, the project seeks to
foster inclusion, empathy, and social cohesion. The project will deliver two mindfulness camps targeting youth workers and individuals affected by hate speech, followed by a mentorship program where youth participants from the camps will receive ongoing support. Workshops will be organized across the EU to spread non-violent communication techniques and restorative justice practices, fostering reconciliation and emotional recovery for both victims and perpetrators. The final phase includes a large-scale awareness campaign and the Mindfest festival, promoting trauma healing, empathy, and peaceful community-building. The project works with marginalized groups and emphasizes collaboration between communities, authorities, and youth to create long-lasting societal change, reducing hate incidents and promoting emotional well-being throughout Europe.
